Expecting Miracles

Postmaster@ExcelWithEaseCoaching.comToday I’d like to share with you some thoughts I’ve been having, lately, about looking for miracles. This train of thought was sparked by my feeling that all these wonderful events and circumstances are around us—all the time—if we would take the time to notice them.
I had been feeling a bit low-energy for days, and noticed that I was very focused on what wasn’t working well. The more I spent time looking at what was wrong- the worse I started to feel. Even though I wanted to be happy and feeling good, I kept thinking thoughts which were making me more irritable and frustrated.
I began to doubt some decisions and worry about the outcomes—I was shifting very quickly between the past and the future, and it didn’t feel good. At some point, I decided that I was tired of feeling badly. I decided that, rather than looking at what wasn’t right (yet), I’d MAKE myself look at all the things that were completely miraculous in my life.

I’d like to share with you what I noticed:
The sun. I got up early one morning and watched the sunrise. I sat very still and felt the gentle shift in temperature as the sun came up. I kept sitting and felt the sun begin to warm my skin. The sun is a miracle.
Water. Isn’t it amazing that you turn a handle, and there are gallons and gallons of clear, clean water to drink, cook with, and shower in? Water is a miracle.
The telephone. As a coach, I work with my clients by telephone- and it always amazes me how I can connect deeply with people from all parts of the world with this wonderful device. The telephone is a miracle.
People & possibilities: I took a few minutes and looked around at all the wonderful people and things in my life. These are miracles, too.
I invite you to take the time to notice the miracles around you. They are everywhere- if you just take the time to look.
